Shootin’ Pool

by Dawn on May 28, 2008

I didn’t have very long to focus this shot.  My son seemed to think he was playing pool instead of having his picture taken.  Do you think the shot would have been more effective with a different point of focus?

I love your point of focus. I think it’s a great shot. I do like to change my point of focus to see what I like better but I’m not sure that having your son as the pof would have looked as good as the shot you’ve posted here!
Great Job!

I like it! It’s quite an intense photo. I definitely think the pof you have is awesome – I don’t think it would have been more effective to have the focus be on your son. This way, like I said earlier, the photo is really intense. You can feel the concentration.

I can tell you’re having a blast with your camera! :)

I like the focus. IF you had the time, it would be interesting to see the same shot with a couple of different pof.

I also think it’s cool that it’s his hand. We don’t often see close-ups of hands. Yet there’s so much to be said from hands. Eyes and hands . . . both are very interesting. :D

While I don’t have any suggestions of how to take the focus off his hand, I think that picture is really awesome! That looks like something off iStock!

Great depth of field on that white ball.
